What ever happened to teaching our children about morals and values? Teaching them to love God first; the first and most important lesson that inites the flames for loving families, parents, neighbors, and themselves. When this is in place the other things had no values, because we become rich with things that money cannot buy and only what God can give us.
I thank God daily for my parents. Although they are both gone (had deceased), nothing can ever replace the love, and self worth I learned from my parents. They taught me about God, took me to church and placed strong emphasis on helping others; even when we had nothing. I thank God for these gifts.
Kids need to be introduced to the baics of life, parents need to grow up and guide their children, teach them about values, and their role in helping to build a better future.
I tell my friends often that I was poor materially, but so rich in love. I have three wonderful children and tried my best to do what my parents role modeled; being a good mother. We must teach our children how to love, how to give, and how to be of a good servant.
We continue to have an obligation to redirect our childen and train them in the way they should go. Even as parents when we become frustrated because we feel that we are not reaching our children, continue to perservere We will make a difference. We have to be persistent as we press forward. If we don't teach our children, the world will so let us be their role model.
I learned humility from my mother.
I learned salvation from my mother.
I learned how to treat people from my mother.
I learned how to respect people from my mother.
I was able to learn these things from my mother because she LIVED them.
